To Protect Marine Species on the Verge of Depletion with Artificial Breeding Technology and Develop Sustainable Aquaculture Technique

Artificial breeding and multiplication of marine species on the verge of depleting
1. Objectives: Restore natural resources and provide aquaculture products to human beings
2. Implementation methodologies:
a. to investigate and select other marine species on the verge of depleting (giving priority to fish) with the successful experience of the research and development on large yellow croaker;
b. to conduct research on artificial breeding technique
c. to expand its wild population and gradually restore the natural resources by artificial propagation and releasing with original generation of breeding and the assistance of resource protection;
d. to develop the aquaculture technique and realize industrialization
3. Follow-up mechanisms:
a. by the end of 2020, International Development Information Organization, together with Fujian Minyiyuan Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. will complete the Large Yellow Croaker Seedling Breeding Base and maritime living gene bank. And also Institute of Marine Research of Minyiyuan will be established on the basis of its own basic scientific research team; will seek wide cooperation with institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutions and grass-root science and technology agencies; and will improve the industrial chain of seedling, aquaculture, processing and marketing.
b. by the end of 2025, to research, save and develop at least 1 high-value marine species on the verge of depletion.
c. by the end of 2030, to research, save and develop at least 2 high-value marine species on the verge of depletion.
4. Governance:
a. to build up and implement the Large Yellow Croaker Seedling Breeding Base by Fujian Minyiyuan Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.
b. Fisheries Technical Extension Station of Ningde will provide technical support;
c. relying on Academic Committee of State Key Laboratory of Large Yellow Croaker Breeding and bringing in technical forces to the research on seed breeding and aquaculture technology of new species.
d. Ningde Normal University will be responsible for the marine biological resources survey and related basic researches.

By 2020, effectively regulate harvesting and end overfishing, illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and destructive fishing practices and implement science-based management plans, in order to restore fish stocks in the shortest time feasible, at least to levels that can produce maximum sustainable yield as determined by their biological characteristics
