Goal
Establish sustainable governance of aquatic resources in order to promote sustainable socio-economic benefits to basic communities.
Methodology
- Develop fisheries management plans for the target resources: Crabs, Sea cucumbers, Octopus and Squid, Penaeid Shrimp, Tuna, Lobsters, Sharks;
- Increase area for sustainable and responsible marine aquaculture and appropriate chains;
- Strengthen the effective implementation of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Code.
Progress reports
By 2020, effectively regulate harvesting and end overfishing, illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and destructive fishing practices and implement science-based management plans, in order to restore fish stocks in the shortest time feasible, at least to levels that can produce maximum sustainable yield as determined by their biological characteristics
