A tripartite sectoral meeting on migrant fishers to address and others who work at sea. The meeting will adopt conclusions that will shape the ILOs actions, including international, regional and national activities, to improve the conditions of migrant fishers.

Promote ratification and implementation of the ILO Conventions, specially the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 and the Work in Fishing Convention, 2007 (No. 188) through supporting States to undertake comparative analyses of these instruments and national laws, regulations and other measures, and to undertake supervision of ratified Conventions through the ILOs supervisory system.
September 2018
Convene meetings of the Special Tripartite Committee of the Maritime Labour Convention to keep that Convention under review and to update, as necessary.
