A world leader in the environmental sector, Suez is committed to protecting the ocean through its activities all along the water and waste cycles.

In 2015, SUEZ decided to make a concrete and significant commitment to the protection of the ocean and more particularly to the supply and search for solutions to reduce beforehand the emission of plastic waste that invades the coast and the sea.

SUEZ is strengthening its commitment and reaffirming its involvement in the fight against marine and coastal pollution. The Group aim at mobilizing its employees to become guardians of the ocean through the project #suez4ocean : by launching collective waste collection initiatives around the world. The long term goal of this worldwide mobilization is to lead by action, inspire and engage others to limit the impact of ground pollution and to collect waste on the coasts and riverbanks. Also identifying solutions that can be implemented in the areas of collection.

The employees will be provided with open source digital tools to create their own collection activity, partner with cities, NGOs, associations or join existing activities.
