- Committed to communicate the updates and news of oceans related activities, initiatives, and risks to those in our contacts / realm, and also to those individual friends and colleagues. [specifically about single use water bottles, food containers, plastic bags, oyster rejuvenation, Monterey Bay fish management updates, etc.] [ongoing]

- Committed to educate young people about professional marine and conservation related careers through the Marine Careers Program sponsored by Beneath The Sea, providing professional exhibitors, universities, career related presentations, workshops, and keynote speakers. [yearly on the friday of Beneath The Sea and marketing prior to the event to schools, biology clubs, etc.]

- Committed to reduce personal and family use of plastics and disposable containers. [ongoing]

- Commited to continue inquiries with stores and food outlets about customers providing their own 'containers' for purchased goods. [local and small food dispensaries seem to be more open to this concept, i.e., those without corporate liability concerns.] [ongoing]

- Begin to purchase reusable grocery bags and randomly provide them to shoppers a time allows, with key information provided by COARE. [neet to inquire from COARE about talking points / statistics regarding pastic bag use and outcomes.] [by November 2017]
