PPP initiative to release 30,000 fish in protected areas
by Ministry of Climate Change and Environment - United Arab Emirates (Government)
The UAE will release two types of local fish species: goldlined seabream (Qabit) and yellow fin seabream (Shaam) fish, of approximately 150 gm. in size, in protected marine areas across the UAE. The UAE aims to release 30,000 fish across the UAE in the coming months.

The initiative is aimed at increasing local fish and contributing to the safeguarding and breeding of fish, thereby supporting the fisheries sector in the country.
