'Be the Change' week; Beach clean-up event;
by UN Department of Public Information (United Nations entity)
The UN Department of Public Information commits to developing more programming encouraging staff to live more sustainable lives, starting with a 'Be the Change' week to take place at UNHQ in New York from 18-24 June. New York-based staff across the UN system will have the opportunity to walk the talk on the Sustainable Development Goals with different sustainability challenges to undertake at home and in the office, from consuming fewer single-use plastics to creating zero trash, and will include a beach clean-up event in the New York region on 23 June, UN Public Service Day. The goal is to create a programme that can be replicated at UN duty stations around the world.
