Just Transitions to a Plastic Free Paciifc

The Urgent Action Hub for Climate Justice​ ​includ​es​ many diverse ​local national and PSIDS civil society and social movements​ in Fiji​ and across the Pacific, and ​a further ​2900 people​ actively daily sharing information and resources,​ in our online Facebook group​.

On World Oceans Day 2017, the group​ have launched in Suva with a cleanup campaign along with many other civil society groups, a public campaign to encourage an end to single use plastics in the Pacific called Just Transitions to a Plastic Free Pacific.

Over coming months they will be working hard on various online and offline community led strategies and actions in urban, rural and remote communities of Fiji. Their first press statement has been released, and all are urged to support and affirm these committed efforts as young women, men and transgender people of Fiji.
