Desarrollar mecanismos que aporten a un aprovechamiento sostenible de la pesca, limiten la pesca excesiva y pongan fin a la pesca ilegal, la pesca no declarada y no reglamentada, as como las prcticas de pesca destructivas, aplicando planes de gestin con fundamento cientfico, a fin de restablecer las poblaciones de peces en el corto plazo.
