The UN-NGO Network of the Society of the Sacred Heart will be educated about the state of the oceans.
Objectives
Experience the relationship between oceans and people
Increase awareness about oceans as largest part of earth, our common home
Raise awareness of human impact on oceans
Take responsibility for ocean wellness
Involve youth
Methodology
Through a lens of common relationship between oceans and people, the Society of the Sacred Heart UN-NGO Office will:
Promote education for transformation
Join in partnerships for ocean awareness
Advocate in culturally and contextually appropriate ways
Monitor transformation of attitudes and human behaviour by tracking concrete actions
Communicate findings
Follow-up
Monitor the reach of awareness raising and actions through social media statistics and existing network database
