Monitoring and regabilitation of HA. Kelaa House Reef, Maldives
by Island Development and Environmental Awareness Society - IDEAS (Non-governmental organization (NGO))
Our aim is to conduct a baseline survey of the house reef and map the reef to determine the areas of rich biodiversity . These areas will be monitored every 3 months and data will be recorded. We hope make these areas as community managed protected areas in 3 years time. Also, any severely damaged areas will be rehabilitated via community based coral planting projects.

We will also organize regular lagoon clean-ups to remove any exiting trash in the lagoon . Awareness programs will be conducted every 4 months for the community and we aim to make lagoon trash free in 4 years.
