The Blue Solutions Initiative uses different formats to facilitate the exchange of experiences and lessons learned of sustainable marine and coastal biodiversity management:
The PANORAMA partnership and its online platform
PANORAMA - Solutions for a Healthy Planet [http://www.panorama.solutions/en/explorer] is a partnership initiative to document and promote examples of inspiring, replicable solutions across a range of conservation and development topics, enabling cross-sectoral learning and inspiration. PANORAMA allows practitioners to share their stories, get recognized for successful work, and learn how others have tackled challenges across the globe, by encouraging reflection on and learning from proven approaches. On the PANORAMA web platform these case studies are documented in a structured format, published for a global audience and allow an online exchange between users.
The Blue Solutions Initiative manages the marine and coastal theme of PANORAMA: http://www.panorama.solutions/en/portal/marine-and-coastal.
Face-to-face solutions exchange
In face-to-face meetings and sessions at conferences, participants have the opportunity to present their experiences, as well as learn how key building blocks can be used, recombined and adapted to new settings. The Blue Solutions Initiative organized three regional solution exchange events for Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Wider Caribbean and Africa.
