Objectives
To build a long-term coral monitoring database by empowering divers and dive shops in Taiwan (Province of China) to monitor local reefs and report abnormalities through a citizen science project.

Implementation methodologies
Recruit divers to participate in surveys
Provide training on survey techniques and ongoing training on marine creature identification, marine biology and ecology and conservation through talks by experts and social media interactions, thereby providing marine environmental education for the public and strengthening public support for marine conservation
Empower local communities to take care of their reefs by building community capacity for monitoring and providing support for subsequent action

Follow-up mechanisms
Survey reports for each region published on our website for local stakeholders and general public
Yearly reports on current state of Taiwan reefs (Province of China) and activities held during the year
