Beach Cleanup and Marine Debris monitoring

Objectives
To alleviate the marine debris pollution problem by educating and influencing the public through participation in beach clean-ups and marine debris citizen science monitoring

Monthly beach cleanups
Pre-cleanup educational talks
Post clean-up debris monitoring activity using International Coastal Cleanup protocol and take-away cups/PET bottle brand monitoring protocols
Post clean-up sharing of data and evaluation
Training of clean-up volunteers to conduct such events
Advocacy for plastic bans in Taiwan
