Mahim Beach Cleanup
by Dharavi Diary (Philanthropic organization)
Slum & Rural Innovation Project, is a Storytelling and Technology Education platform in India, dedicated to ignite the curiosity, problem solving capabilities and innovative spirit of kids, youth and women in lower income groups of urban slums and rural communities. Our programs help the participants to envision their potential and learn skills using our hands on STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) methodology. This empowers them to be a better version of themselves by being life long learners who can not only change their own narrative but also impact the community.
Progress reports
In the first stage we aim to make the beaches of Mumbai free from plastics. We are working in tandem with a lot of enthusiastic volunteers all across Mumbai. Next, we will scale the cleanliness drive to other areas in and around the state of Maharashtra.
In-kind contribution
Enthusiastic volunteers contribute towards hand gloves and masks required for the drive
