Marine Garbage Monitoring Project was jointly initiated by Shenzhen Mangrove Wetland Conservation Foundation and Shanghai Rendu Marine Development Center, and officially launched on November 1, 2014. In 2017, the Green World has implemented as a monitoring point project in Guangzhou. It gathered social forces and mobilize the public to participate in coastline garbage cleaning and monitoring; coordinate social organizations and scientific research institutions to carry out coastline garbage monitoring research; and provided government departments at all levels with coastline garbage control policies support. The project has became an open and cooperative platform for Guangzhou's participation in the social problems of coastal waste.
