Since the commitment was made, five new ratifications/acceptances of the London Protocol have been deposited with IMO, bringing the total number of London Protocol Parties to 53, and the total number of Convention/Protocol Parties to 100.\r\n\r\nThe LC/LP capacity building programme is continuing with on average 4-6 workshops per year, additional efforts have been made by the Contracting Parties and Secretariat to further improve reporting.\r\n\r\n
The improvement of reporting will require more work over a longer period.

The Contracting Parties have adopted an action plan to improve reporting, which is being implemented by the Secretariat and Contracting Parties. a revised guidance on national implementation of the London Protocol has been published, and is currently being transformed into a training course.
